10 tips for optimizing your pharmacy layout

1-Optimize your patient’s circuit at the pharmacy:

When defining your users' purchasing circuit, remember that they tend to walk counterclockwise and pay attention to everything that is on the right side and at eye level.

2- Transform cold areas into hot areas:

Light, movement and sound condition the circuit in the store. Place an interactive monitor in a cold area, draw attention and get the user to move to that point.

3- Schedule the display of your products on the linears:

Divide them always respecting the 60 cm column structure – for easy reading; add rules and pop ups to clearly identify and highlight categories and promotions.

Did you know that our vision is peripheral and the further we move away from our center of vision, the fewer details we identify or recognize? Always display your main products at eye level.

5- Expose to the ideal level:

Gondolas, displays, shelves are much more than furniture. They are tools at the service of the effectiveness of your sales. The display of your products should never go below knee level.

6- Use the right light:

Lighting is one of the key points in the layout of your pharmacy. White light to highlight and yellow light to create ambiance.LED LightingIt will be, above all, an ecological bet. With the right light you will even be able to transform cold areas into warm ones.

7- Create waiting areas:

With comfortable seats for those waiting for their turn or just being a companion. Your user may be sick, elderly or bring a child with them. Place products or information that can boost sales later, but don't forget: sitting customers don't buy.

8- Service counter:

Its layout will obviously depend on the size of your pharmacy, but it should never be unique. Your counter should allow you to walk around it and serve as support. Use it to empathize with your customer. To achieve this, its height must be comfortable for both parties – the smaller it is, the more the customer can see what is behind – and it must have a place to place a shopping bag or a woman's wallet, without interference.

9- Enlarge the passage:

Create conditions so that products and people can “breathe”. Allow your customers to dedicate themselves to a product without being disturbed by the customer next to them and where they feel free enough to make their decision. Ideal: one meter away from the linear to maximize the view of products and aisles where two baby strollers can pass at the same time.

10- The price is “sacred”:

A pricing strategy must take our competition into account as it is one of the positioning factors. Align your prices with those of your competition and differentiate yourself through the offer/availability of products and services.

A welcoming environment promotes well-being and confidence. The main objective of optimizing your pharmacy layout is to offer a space where your customers feel good, want to spend more time and recommend you.
