Balance 2022: projects, trends and much more!

With the end of the year in sight, it's time to look back and take stock of 2022. What were the biggest trends this year? What characteristics marked the furniture, accessories and decorative objects? What colors dominated the interiors of 2022? Discover the answers in this article!

#1 – Natural and ecological finishes

In 2022, interior design trends were firmly rooted in a passion for nature and ecology. The boom in “eco-friendly” objects and recycled materials has instigated a collective desire for a more comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.Wood, parquet, natural stone or porcelain stoneware are some of the materials that have come to the fore in terms of consumer preference.

Reliability, cleanliness and durability are some of the characteristics that have made these materials the protagonists of our renovation projects. A selection of materials that suggested the use of striking contrasts of light and dark tones to attract the attention of new users and impress.

#2 – Focus on zoning

High ceilings, open spaces, minimal furniture,neutral decorand multi-level lighting are common elements of the projects we carried out in 2022. In the organization of the space, symmetry, harmony and proportionality prevailed.

In general, we seek to create categorized andthemed cornersmarked by smooth transitions, linescurvesand lots of natural light in order to increase the user's retention time in the space.

#3 – Emphasis on functionality

In terms ofstyle, although the classic style has been very latent, modern trends have become the center of attention. Here, we can also highlight the styleJapandi, which is an organic combination of the styleScandiand the Japanese moderate approach to the organization of space.

These styles focus on eliminating unnecessary details and place an emphasis on functionality. In 2022, we didn't want to overload the space with too much furniture and decorations.

For us, all elements must perform more than one function. For example, the application ofceramic tileon the floor, in addition to providing visual interest to any healthcare space, it provides a clear distinction between different consumption areas.

#4 – More fluid and dynamic forms

This year, rigid shapes slowly began to give way to dynamic lines. Part of the reason for this trend is related to the return of styles that dominated the 80s. Chains marked bycolorsvibrant colors, bold patterns and unusual shapes. The rounded and delicate silhouettes offurnitureand the pleasant shapes of the structural elements are common features of spaces remodeled by Medd in 2022.

#5 – Living elements

To theindoor plantsnot only do they provide a comforting and homely environment, they also help reduce stress and anxiety levels in work teams. For this reason, we introduced lively and natural elements into the decoration of the remodeled spaces.

#6 – Neutral and natural tones

To thebiophilic trendsthat began to flourish in 2020 also marked the year 2022. Furniture designed from natural materials and indoor plants were important elements of the projects developed by Medd. Naturally, soft, warm and natural tones also dominated the 2022 interiors to make everything feel fresher andilluminated. A trend that will continue at the center ofinterior design, next year.

#7 – Confidentiality room

This balance would not be complete without mentioning an important part of pharmacy:confidentiality room. A reserved space, where any user can share the symptoms of their condition with the healthcare professional. This, being an increasingly pressing reality in the pharmaceutical sector, must be a central aspect ofremodel.

As such, all confidentiality rooms designed by Medd this year feature solid furniture and high-quality technical equipment.

We add visual interest through wallpaper, sculptural furniture and graphic details.Standardswhich help to balance the rectilinear shapes of the structural elements of these environments, giving them greater dynamism and comfort.
