In order for this material to remain in good condition, it must be coated with a special impregnation. This way, it is possible to avoid desiccation and swelling. Alternatives include MDF, which is also cheaper, as well as beech, ash or oak, which are natural equivalents.

Among the advantages of using this solution as a partition is the ability to let natural light enter between the slats. Another way to use this material is in decoration or in the design offurniture. When attached horizontally, wood slats can make a space appear larger than it actually is. On the other hand, when they are installed vertically, they help to visually expand your headroom.

Typically, wooden lath is fixed with adhesive or glue. In most cases, designers prefer natural wood tones, whether light or dark, as they give the design a timeless softness.
